Parral and multi-span greenhouses
Greenhouse historically used in the spanish provinces of Murcia and Almería, intended for areas with mild climates. It can be a single chapel, called “parral,” or with multiple chapels, then called “raspa y amagado” or multicapilla.
It is composed of round tubular profile structure and a steel cable system with tensioners where the plastic is mounted. Typically, this construction includes zenithal and perimeter windows.
It is a simple greenhouse with a good quality/price ratio.
Main features of parral and multi-span greenhouses:
- Good waterproofing against water and wind, reducing interior humidity on rainy days and facilitating climate control.
- Resistance to strong winds due to its reinforced structure.
- Better control of pests and diseases due to its tightness.
- Allows for trellising for crop cultivation.
- Adaptable to any surface, allowing for the use of the entire plot of land.
- Economical structure.
